AMPEROR BATTERY CHARGERS - Product Overview
The Amperor MV Series of battery chargers are specially designed for charging a wide variety of leisure batteries including flooded, Gel and AGM. With all the MV Series, only multi-stage charging is employed to ensure the leisure battery is always charged to full capacity. On the MV4 model a periodic ‘equalisation’ stage is also used to extend battery life and help reduce the effects of sulphation, which can gradually kill a battery. The units are protected against all the usual problems, including reverse polarity, short circuits, overvoltage and over temperature. A cooling fan is also fitted which will only operate when required under heavy loads. The MV4 unit is microprocessor controlled, which provides charge mode and fault indication, so it is easy to see what’s going on. There are three models in the range
The MV3/180C which is a 3-Stage charger with an 18 Amp output, suitable for charging batteries up to 180Ah
The MV3/250C which is the more powerful brother of the MV3/180C, it has all the same features but with a 25 Amp output, suitable for charging batteries up to 250Ah
The MV4/180C which is a full 4-Stage charger with microprocessor control and selector switches for charging flooded, Gel and AGM batteries. Includes charge mode and fault status indicators.
Fuller details can be obtained at http://www.amperordirect.co.uk/products/3-Stage_Chargers.asp and http://www.amperor-research.co.uk/batterychargers.html A n MV3 /180C IS CURRENTLY BEING TESTED BY THE CLUB AND a report will be published later on this web site |

The rally season is almost upon us (thank goodness) so we are all planning to get our caravans out of mothballs and are looking forward to the new season. Bookings for the Catterick Caravans invitation must be in by the end of this month (because of limited space) and the Easter Rally is only 5 weeks away. Please book early to be certain of a rally plaque. |
